We want to let you know that we have a lot of respect for your decision towards the adoption plan for your child. We can only imagine how difficult it must be for you to make that decision. We understand that it is a very emotional and stressful time in your life and that you are searching for the best home for your child. We have a 7 year old boy named Callum. After several miscarriages, we decided to turn towards adoption to fulfill our dream to have a second child and a sibling for Callum.

ABOUT US:

We met in 1999 and have been together since then. We went to Europe for 3 weeks in 2002 and we discovered a new love for travel. We have been travelling in USA, Mexico and Canada since then. We just married in May 2010. We have a great relationship and our love for each other and our son is strong. We have been through a lot of disappointments with all the miscarriages but we got through the tough times by being there for each other. Our families and friends have also been a great support.

Josée, Callum and Simon at TyneHead Regional Park.  It’s a tradition with Simon’s family to go there every year at Remembrance Day for a walk.  The headwaters of the Serpentine River are among the best spawning and rearing habitats for trout and salmon.

We live in New Westminster, a suburb of Vancouver. Vancouver metro has been rated for many years as one of the top areas of the world to live. We have 4 seasons but the least snow of any Canadian city. Our mountainous region is on the door step of the Pacific Ocean. We can go golfing and snow boarding the same day. We bought our house because of its heritage features and we are now renovating it. The house is in an established residential area close to shops, public transportation, medical, educational and recreational facilities including many parks, playgrounds and swimming pools.

We love travelling, hiking and spending time in our backyard gardening and renovating the house. During summer time, we like to have family and friends over for BBQ.  When travelling to Mexico, we always make sure we experience the culture of the area we are in.  We like to mix with the locals and see the way they live which makes us appreciate what we have.

We both have siblings and family is very important to us. Simon’s family lives in British Columbia and we gather together on several occasions during the year. It’s harder with Josée’s family as they all live in Québec. Josée and Callum are going to visit almost every summer.

Josée:

She has a great sense of humor and uses it in every aspect of her life.

This is one of our common traits. She is a hard working woman in and outside of our home. She is an awesome wife and mother. She always thinks of others before herself. She loves reading and exercising. She is a determined person and will work hard to reach her goals.

Callum:

He is going to French immersion school grade 2. He has a lot of friends and loves to have play dates. He is practicing different sports such as baseball, flag football, ice skating, swimming and bike riding. His favorites so far are bike riding and ice skating. He would like to try hockey when he gets better at skating. He loves Lego and playing with his DSI. He likes to help us with work in the yard. He is very caring and friendly. He loves children and he has been waiting for a brother or sister for a long time. He just can’t wait to be a big brother!

Our plan if we are chosen:

Josée will take 1 year maternity leave to be at home with the new baby.

After that, the baby will go to daycare nearby. When it’s time to go school, it will be French immersion. We will raise your child with love and always be there for him/her.

We want to thank you for the opportunity you gave us by reading our profile in order to know us better. We would be honored if you would choose us as the adoptive parents for your child. We want to let you know that we will love your child with all our heart and we will offer security, opportunities and happiness. We will be honest and open with your child about the adoption and make sure they know and understand that the decision you made was one based on love.
