We are Mike, and Rina and we hope that we can make a very difficult time for you a little bit less troubling by telling you about ourselves and our commitment to raising children in our loving family.
Although we cannot begin to know the journey that brought you to us, we do know that you are a caring and selfless person because you are considering adoption out of great love for this special child of yours. |
About Us
Mike and Rina married each other on a warm sunny day in May 1994 in front of many friends and our diverse families. Who would have thought that the blind date we met on two years before would lead to such a wonderful union! We built our initial attraction into friendship and a marriage based on love, respect and our firm commitment to each other.
After four years of infertility, we began our family by adopting Arianna. We have lots of love and experiences as a family to offer and are eager to nurture your baby and share the many wonderful things life has to offer with him or her.

We lead an active life with hobbies that include gardening, tennis, biking and golf. Mike is in charge of the edible parts of our garden while Rina has arranged for different flowers to bloom about every week from April to September. It smells like heaven at our house in May. |

Raising Children
Love will be the foundation for raising our family. We know that children thrive and grow best when they feel cherished by their parents. Out of this acceptance, they can take the necessary steps to grow into the magnificent person that they can be. |
Our House
We live on a quiet cul de sac with sidewalks. We have two neighbors with teenaged girls that are very good baby sitters and a couple other families have young children ranging from new-born to 3 years old. |

Rina
Rina cares very deeply for anyone near her. She uses her medical knowledge and contacts to fight fiercely for the best possible care for any loved one. You should have seen how she lined up doctors and hospital workers to care for her mother several years ago when she had surgery. Your child will receive the best possible medical treatment throughout his or her life.

Rina loves her nieces and nephews. She baby-sits for them, buys special gifts for them and does special things with them. She goes to their plays and ballgames and cheers them on, celebrates their birthdays and let’s them know how special they are. |

Mike
Mike is a proud father. He is brilliant and loves to share his knowledge with people of all ages. He patiently teaches people new things. Arianna loves to play with him and hear him tell stories. He seems to know how to capture children’s attention. Perhaps it is because he gets on the floor to play with them at their level. Haley, one of Mike’s nieces, always wants him to pick her up and twirl her.

| He often attends his nieces and nephews hockey games, softball games and soccer games. Mike plays softball himself and also enjoys playing volleyball and golf with his brothers and dad. He loves to downhill ski in the winter! |
Arianna
Arianna is smart beyond her age. She speaks in full sentences and has pretty interesting ideas. She even tells us she would like a brother or sister. She is very caring with her cousins and stuffed animals and will be a great big sister. Arianna loves Disney characters and had a ball on our trip to Disney in February 2007. She amazes us with how much she remembers from the trip. She still loves to wear her Minnie Mouse costume from last Halloween and her Cinderella dress. |

We both come from close families that passed values of togetherness and caring on to us. Both Rina and Mike’s parents are well and live in town. Rina’s parents emigrated from Europe to provide a better life for their children. They exemplify genuine generosity and hard tangible work as values. They share their heritage with the family and have taken us back to their home town in Italy. Rina’s mom is an amazing cook. Her sister has 3 children and a one year old grandchild. |

Mike’s parents raised him and 2 brothers and a sister all of whom live in town with 4 children among them. Mike’s mom is a former school teacher and we credit some of Arianna’s development to her care. Between the two families there are many gatherings occasions for cousins to get together and play. |

Religion
We are both Catholic and the Catholic faith has nurtured and shaped us in many ways. We also both believe that it is important for people to develop their own understanding and relationship with God and will do our best to prepare our children to do this.
In Conclusion
You are a courageous person to bring a child into the world under uncertain circumstances. We know this is a difficult time in your life, but we think this can also be a positive moment. You can be confident that we will provide a loving family for the child you are bearing.
